Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL), Lead Republican of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s virtual address to a joint gathering of Congress.
“In the face of unspeakable horrors being committed against their people by Vladimir Putin, President Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people have demonstrated incredible bravery and strength. I thank President Zelenskyy for addressing Congress today and while his address was to Congress, it was clearly aimed at the White House. I call on President Biden to stop staring at the problem and provide the capabilities President Zelenskyy specifically asked for. These include air defenses like the S-300s and Unmanned Aerial Systems, such as multiple variants of the Switchblade UAS. I want to see the Biden administration get Ukraine these weapon systems immediately.”
