Washington, D.C. --- U.S. House Armed Services Committee Chairman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) today responded to Democrat allegations that the “war in Iraq is creating more terrorists.”
“One reason we haven’t been hit in the United States since 9/11 is because our aggressive actions against terrorists have kept them off balance,” said Hunter.
"It’s difficult for al Qaeda to plan an attack when half of the planners are killed before the planning session occurs,” continued Hunter.
Hunter noted that the United States was struck on September 11th despite the fact that “our last two major military operations protected Muslim nations.”
“The answer to our security is not to stop fighting,” said Hunter. “The answer is to aggressively pursue terrorists on the battlefield, while encouraging freedom and democracy in the great Muslim community.”
“When we stop fighting, we start losing,” concluded Hunter.
