WASHINGTON - House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon made the following comments regarding the recent violence in Egypt and Libya:
"What happened overnight in Libya was tragic. Four brave Americans were killed at the hands of a mob. While we mourn their loss, it isn't too soon to start asking why this happened, and how we can keep it from happening again.

"This morning we were reminded once more of what a dangerous world we live in, and the risk many Americans take to serve our country abroad. My thoughts and prayers- together with those of this committee- are with the families of those we've lost in Libya."

WASHINGTON –House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon made the following statement responding to news reports that President Obama has decided to ignore a legal deadline for delivery of a report complying with the Sequestration Transparency Act. The Act, which was passed by broad bi-partisan majorities in both chambers, required the President to report on how he would implement across-the-board spending cuts by today.
