Washington D.C. – U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), senior Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today regarding the Senate confirmation of General George Casey as Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army:
“General Casey is an excellent choice who will continue to modernize the Army while concentrating resources on winning the Global War on Terrorism. Most of my colleagues and I have had the opportunity to work with General Casey during his tenure as the Commander of Multi-National Force-Iraq, and we look forward to maintaining a close working relationship with him in his new role.”
