Today, Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-TX), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement in response to the murder of four United States Marines in Chattanooga, TN:

"I am deeply saddened and troubled by the loss of four United States Marines in today's attack on a recruiting station in Chattanooga. Our Marines don't flinch when they take on our enemies abroad. It is heartbreaking when they are attacked here at home. My thoughts and prayers are with their families during this terrible time."
