WASHINGTON –Representative Mac Thornberry (R-TX) and U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairmen of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees, released the following statement on the Senate’s passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 with a 92-7 vote. The NDAA authorizes funding for the Department of Defense and the national security programs of the Department of Energy:
