WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Readiness, made the following remarks following a classified briefing on the Quarterly Readiness Report to Congress:
“Today, the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness received the latest classified quarterly readiness assessment from the Department of Defense. Representatives from all four services testified about the current state of military readiness. The briefing further reinforced Members’ concerns that the state of our military will continue to erode until Congress passes adequate and reliable resources for the Department of Defense.”
