Key Military Service Organizations Announce Support for FY25 NDAA

Washington, D.C. – Today, Blue Star Families, Military Family Advisory Network, Military Officers Association of America, and National Military Family Association announced their support for H.R. 5009, the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25).

“We applaud Congress's strong bi-partisan commitment to improving quality of life for military families in the NDAA,” said Kathy Roth-Douquet, CEO of Blue Star Families. “These provisions will bolster families’ ability to meet the challenges of the military lifestyle, so they can continue to serve our nation, enabling our forces to remain ready to take on the critical tasks ahead."

"The military is a microcosm of the broader population. But national challenges like an uncertain economy, volatile real estate market, and childcare shortages become more acute when you move frequently, struggle to maintain a dual-income household, and live apart from a network of support,” said Shannon Razsadin, CEO of Military Family Advisory Network. “This investment in military family well-being will have a lasting impact on our national security.”

“MOAA is extremely grateful to the lawmakers and their staffs who crafted this bipartisan legislation,” said Lt. Gen. Brian T. Kelly, USAF (Ret.), MOAA’s president and CEO. “We are especially appreciative of the work of the House Armed Services Committee’s Quality of Life Panel, whose report served as the foundation for the House bill and whose recommendations have, in many cases, become meaningful parts of the final legislation now under consideration. MOAA believes this legislation will make a real difference in the quality of life and quality of service of our uniformed service members and families. This legislation recognizes strong national defense and readiness start with having strong people and families and appreciates that the two are undeniably linked.”

"Our military always has our country’s back, and today, our country is taking care of our service members and their families,” said Besa Pinchotti, CEO of the National Military Family Association. “From much needed pay increases to expanded access to child care and resources for military spouses, this legislation provides military families the support they need to keep their families — and our nation — strong. We thank our congressional champions, including Chairman Mike Rogers and especially Representatives Don Bacon and Chrissy Houlahan, the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee Quality of Life Panel. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Congress to support and safeguard military families.”
