Today, Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness, made the following remarks on the hearing titled "Optimized Fleet Response Plan:"
"Good Morning and welcome everyone. I especially want to thank Rear Admiral Jeffrey A. Harley, Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Operations, Plans and Strategy, and Captain Thom Burke, Director, Fleet Readiness for being here today. We’re looking forward to hearing about the Navy’s Optimized Fleet Response Plan. We’ve heard about the stress that recent and current operations have put on the fleet. I look forward to hearing the Navy’s plan to address these issues." |
