Flying The Wings Off The A-10

THE PROBLEM:

The A-10 is a workhorse in the fight against ISIS, so much so that we are literally flying the wings off them.  Without a contract to produce replacement A-10 wings, the Air Force may be forced into retiring some A-10s as early as 2019.

WHAT WE ARE DOING TODAY:

Under the CR, new acquisitions are prohibited- including building desperately needed replacement A-10 wings.

WHAT WE COULD BE DOING:

The House has authorized $103 million to begin a program for 109 A-10 replacement wings, a top unfunded requirement identified by the Air Force Chief of Staff.
