Hearings

The subcommittee will meet to receive testimony on the Department of Defense’s science and technology (S&T), artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation enterprise. This hearing will provide the opportunity to examine the role, responsibilities, and authorities of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD(R&E)), the Defense Innovation Unit, and the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer. Witness testimony will provide an overview of ongoing DOD science and technology activities; technology development, test and evaluation, and transition; and the Department’s collaboration with industry, academia, and interagency partners.
