QUALITY OF LIFE PANEL HOLDS BRIEFING ON ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE

Washington, D.C. –  U.S. Representatives Don Bacon (R-NE) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee’s Quality of Life Panel, received a briefing from Department of Defense health care officials regarding issues related to accessing military health care.
 
“The Military Health System is one of the largest health institutions – proper oversight and accountability is vital to ensure that the system works,” Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) said. “Our servicemembers and their families deserve timely access to quality health care. The health of our servicemembers is crucial for our overall readiness.” 
 
"As we think about the current and future needs of our force, comprehensive health care for our military families must be a top priority," Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) said. "While TRICARE has made significant advancements in delivering top-tier care, our committee and our panel remain committed to hearing where health care services can improve.
