House Armed Services Committee Passes Reconciliation Legislation with Bipartisan Support

House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL) released a statement today celebrating the Committee's passage of budget reconciliation legislation

The bill includes $150 billion in mandatory funding for bipartisan legislation passed by the House Armed Services Committee to strengthen our national defense and implement President Trump’s visionary Peace through Strength agenda.. It passed by a vote of 35-21 with both Republican and Democratic members supporting it. 

 "I’m proud that we are the first committee to report out reconciliation legislation that delivers on President Trump’s agenda, and that we did so with bipartisan support," Rogers said. 

The defense legislation was developed with close collaboration between the House and Senate Armed Services Committees and with the White House and delivers on critical priorities.
