Rogers Statement on Trump Action to Strengthen U.S. Missile Defense

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement in support of President Trump’s executive order strengthening U.S. missile defense.
 
“I’m thrilled to see President Trump prioritize the modernization and expansion of U.S. missile defense. 
 
“In the FY24 NDAA, our committee removed outdated policy limitations that prevented our missile defenses from being focused towards threats by near-peer adversaries. President Trump’s order makes it clear our missile defenses will be oriented to defend against all threats from peer, near-peer, and rogue adversaries. 
 
“I look forward to working with President Trump and Secretary Hegseth to boost our investments in missile defense and make ‘Iron Dome for America’ a reality.”
