Rogers Statement on 21st Anniversary of 9/11
Washington, DC,
September 11, 2022
United States Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL), Lead Republican of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement on the 21st anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. "Today, we remember the thousands of innocent lives lost on September 11th, 2001 and honor the heroes who rushed into danger that day to save lives. "We also honor the brave men and women who joined the United States military in the weeks and years following the attacks to fight against those who sought to harm our nation – it is because of them our nation remains free. "There are many who seek to harm our nation because they are threatened by the ideals the United States stands for: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – but the American spirit remains unbreakable. The United States will never forget what happened that day and we will never back down from the fight against evil."
