As the House prepares to debate and vote on H.R. 5872 , the Sequestration Transparency Act on Wednesday, I would like to direct your attention to the House Armed Services Committee Sequestration Resource Kit. Our kit includes a new menu (below) that will direct you to the latest information on Sequestration including: graphs, impacts on national security, job loss numbers and studies, news stories, communications resources and most importantly, solutions.

As you know, Republicans in the House and Senate have put forward solutions, and in the House passed legislation that makes sensible cuts that avoid the devastating impacts of sequestration on American national security. Unfortunately, the Senate continues to block these solutions. When the House takes up the Sequestration Transparency Act on Wednesday, we will take an important step in requiring the Administration to tell the American people exactly how they intend to implement sequestration and hopefully incentivize all stakeholders to find a solution. The Sequestration Transparency Act is an important step in our ultimate goal of resolving these catastrophic cuts.
