Washington D.C. – Prior to the markup of the FY2015 National Defense Authorization Act, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee Adam Smith will offer remarks on the difficult challenge of sustaining a robust defense posture in an era of constrained budget resources. The failure to make tough budgetary choices, regarding defense priorities, risks fielding a military that is improperly calibrated for achieving strategic objectives.
