WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement upon President Obama signing the FY 2013 National Defense Authorization Act into law: 

“I am gratified President Obama signed the 51st National Defense Authorization Act into law. The President’s signature represents the final step of a process wherein Members were able to work in a bipartisan, bicameral manner to craft an NDAA that supports our troops and ensures the continued security of our nation. At a time where last minute deals and crisis legislation are all too common, this year’s NDAA process proves that regular order can work and does work.”
